3D-Printed Puzzle

For our 3D puzzle, we made  totem pole using the characters from my game, Mekazoo.  We printed these out at LaGuardia Studio:

Each had a hole in it so it could fit on the totem base:

Final results, assembled:

Pretty sweet!

A few of the characters have extra-delicate parts, such as the pelican’s wings (the segments of which were barely connected together) and the frog’s legs (which are just really skinny to begin with).  We learned a lot about the do’s and don’t’s of using models for 3D-printing, and will be able to make more solid prints next time.

Overall a fun & productive project!
